About Njira Impact

Who we are

Njira Impact is a Malawian-led, local non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the health and livelihoods of women, children, and young adults in last-mile, hard-to-reach areas.


With a focus on rural communities, Njira Impact addresses critical challenges such as limited access to healthcare and economic opportunities. We provide essential transportation and logistical support, ensuring that women, children, and young adults can access maternal, neonatal, and child health, as well as sexual and reproductive health-related services. These services are delivered through last-mile outreach clinics, door-to-door visits, and community health workers, reaching those most in need.


Our holistic approach combines healthcare interventions with livelihood programs, empowering communities to break the cycle of poverty and build a healthier, more sustainable future.

Problem statement

In rural Malawi, 14 million people live in poverty, with only 3 out of 10 able to access quality healthcare.
